About the client
Dominique Bananas is a Columbian-based company that sustainably produce bananas. After having worked dedicated towards more sustainable farming by switching to bio-dynamic farming, terminating the use of fumigation, as well as cutting all plastic from the value chain.
They wanted a re-brand to better reflect these achievements and goals.
About the brand
Although the company stretches worldwide, the Dominique Bananas brand is presented as a Columbian company with roots in Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. Having values of local production and sustainability, it was a goal to find a way to communicate this through the stylistic choices of the brand.

Inspiration
The design is presented with a certain level of duality – a global brand, with a Columbian spirit. The element that distinguishes Dominique Bananas is the achievement of plastic-free farming.
the logo as a Concept
The logo was developed to have a clean minimalistic expression, with a rough stamp style for an authentic, natural look, that also symbolizes the local narrative and history of the farms.
building the brand
The launch of the new brand also meant preparing material for promotion and introduction of the product to potential new buyers. This consisted of brochures, PowerPoint decks, assets for social media, stickers and labels for the products as well as the shipping box design.
the same company, a new brand
Most companies grow and develop through the years. Their activities, the services they offer or the way they wish to promote their products.
A re-branding raises a lot of questions about where the company is going, and why, which gives clarity moving forward.
